The other day I took Wesson for he 2 year check up and I left there in shock! He was the perfect kid! We had a resident named Ashley come in and check him out before the doctor came in and he did everything she wanted him to do without complaint!!! Then when she came back in with the doctor, he started talking to her like they are best buds!!"Ashley, you're back!" "Ashley, look plane!" "You, drop Ashley?" And then the doctor just picked him up and put him on the table and checked him out while I was standing across the room!!!! The doctor told me she had never seen a better 2 yr. check up before! He passed with flying colors. Here are his stats:
Weight: 27 lbs. 38%
Height: 35 3/4 in. 83%
Head: 50.2 cm. 86%
The doctor told me he should be about 6 foot when he is done growing. My height is pulling him down some! He is going to be tall and skinny with a big head, that I hope he grows into!!!

Wesson is the BIG 2!!
We had several small birthday celebrations for Wesson's big day. We had a party with Kent's side, a party with my side, and then on his birthday we had a small one with just us. It was nice, not too many people and a way to get everyone in our small apartment. This is the shirt I made for Wesson's big day!!! I thought it turned out really cute. He loves it and wears it all the time.
This was the cake I made for Kent's side of the family. Wesson loves dump trucks and I thought this would be a fun way to have a cake. Plus Kent's side is the only side with kids. So I thought my niece and nephew would enjoy this cake, but they couldn't make it because Wesson was sick. Plus he loves playing with the dump truck that we got for his cake. It's his BIG dump truck!!! We go out front after naps and play with the truck. Fills it up with rocks and then dumps them out. I'm sure the apartment manager just loves us for that!
Here is the cake I made for my side of the family. If you look closely you can see that it is pink! I tried to make it a bright fire truck red color. I even used 1/2 a bottle of red food coloring, but it would not turn red! So my son had a pink firetruck for his birthday! He loved it!
One of his favorite things was getting Uncle Levi to put him in his dump truck and push him across the room! Oh! What FUN!!!
Wesson had a wonderful birthday, thanks to all who made it a great day!

What a downer!
So for those of you who don't know. I work at a in home daycare with at my friends house. We have about 8 kids total including Wesson. I get to take him, and he plays with the other kids while I work. It's great! I work for about 4 four hours in the morning and get home in time for nap. I really enjoy the other I work with.
But then about an hour ago. she called me at told me that our business relationship isn't working out and not to bother to come in tomorrow! What? I didn't even know there was a problem! She is pregnant and hired another girl to help her out when she goes on maternity leave. She cut back my hours and I talk to her about it and we compromised on hours. Then last week she cut back my hours again because the other girl wanted more hours and was threatening to quiet. I totally understood where she was coming from and told her that would be fine. And now I'm fired!!! I'm shocked! I guess the other girl is a lot better than I am! Oh, well.... I guess I'm more hurt about the whole thing. I don't know what to do. We plan on the extra money that I make and I don't think I can find another situation like I was in that allowed me to earn money and be with my son at the same time. Oh... well such is life. I better move on. Thanks for listening. I just needed to get it out of my system before I get mad.

10K!!!
Today I ran my second 10K. It was a nice race that fit in with our training schedule. Oh... because I forgot to mention that Erica and I are running a 1/2 marathon in June! So it was our 6 mile run today! Levi also ran it with us. Well... not with us. He was way ahead and came in 4th of everyone! He ran his in 46 min.! Plus he is sick!
Here we are finishing the race! I think I always look funny when I run. This race was awful! They didn't start the race until 1pm, so we were running during the hottest part of the day! We were not used to the heat. They didn't have any aide stations either! Erica started suffering from shin splints after mile 1. Both of us felt like we had no energy. I don't know what our problem was. We stopped a few time to stretch, to see if that would help her leg, but it didn't help. We walk quiet a bit. We didn't want to injure her leg more, but wanted to run at make it in 1hour. So we did intervals. 3 mins of running, 1 min, or walk. That helps a ton. And as you can see we made our 1 hour time. It said 1hour and 1 min, when we crossed the finish line, but we started later than the start time. So we made out 1 hour goal! And we walked!

Here we are after the race all hot a sweaty! I have a 5K on Memorial Day and then our 1/2 in June! Next week it's 8 miles baby!

Easter and Baby Jace!!
Since Easter fell on Conference weekend we had our little Easter egg hunt at home and then a bigger with Wesson's 2 cousins in their back yard. This one was a lot more fun. The kids loved trying to find the eggs and trying to reach them. Kent hid the eggs this year, and he being 6'5'' liked to tease the kids. He hid a lot of hard eggs and had the adults trying to find the rest of them.See what I mean? He had them up in the trees, and in the porch light cover!
Kent and Wesson didn't get to meet Jace when he was born, because they were sick. So this was the first time they got to meet. Isn't my husband so cute with babies? Wesson looked funny in this pictures, but he really cared more about his Jelly beans then Jace!
Here is the Blanket I made Jace. We didn't know what Jen was going to have, so I did a gender neutral one (hoping for a boy) with a "J" in the corner. I thought it turned out super cute!
Here are the kids trying to eat the jelly beans! Wesson was so cute. Every time he found an egg he would shake it about four times and then put it in his bag. He would try shaking the boiled eggs, look at them funny and put them back in the bag. He didn't like those. But he did like the jelly beans!
My sister in law had her baby about a week or so before Easter! His name is Jace. She did a complete natural birth and I was so proud of her! She is my hero! I want to do that some day! So here is Jace's first Easter egg. What a cutie!Kent and Wesson didn't get to meet Jace when he was born, because they were sick. So this was the first time they got to meet.
