Patty-Cake
Wesson is so cute this weeks he learned his first trick! Whenever somebody says "Patty- Cake" Wesson will start clapping his hands! It is so cute! Right now we are learning how to give kisses when asked.

Big Wheels 2 Butterflies
My Mother-in-law told me about this great second hand kids store. It's called Big Wheels 2 Butterflies. They only sell gently used, in style clothing. I've been to Once Upon a Child, but this is better! I didn't see anything in there for over $5. I didn't get to look around much, it was a quick trip, but I did pick up a fleece snow suit for $2.50 ( this is a nice suit, there is a zipper that goes around the waist so it can become a jacket!) and I picked up a snow hat for $2. It looks so cute on Wesson! Here he is modeling it. I know they have these in other locations besides Omaha, NE so look it up at see what you can find! (they also have toys, and other baby supplies)
Splish! Splash! I was takin' a bath!
Ever since we went on vacation to Denver and Wesson had the experience of bathing with his little cousins. He got to experience what it's like to play in the tub! Now he loves bath time! He loves to have a cup filled with water then he tries to splash all the water out. He just sits in the tub forever being happy. So when we are having a tough evening, Wesson gets an extra long bath! His bath toys consist of a blue hippo ( we got with a bath set at his shower), a teething ring, a cup, and washrags.

Wesson loves to have the washrag on his head, or eating the tag.

Christmas Time!
Here are some Christmas photos we decided to take after church yesterday. Wesson got a cute Christmas outfit from his Great-Grandma that he had to model. This year we are staying in Nebraska and splitting Christmas between My family and Kent's. It should be lots of fun! I just wish it would warm up! I'm sick of the below freezing temperature.

Update
So here is an update of the last week or so.
1. Wesson learned to clap
2. Wesson learned to scoot backwards and gets on his knees. Before he just rolled around.
3. I've stopped pumping and I am drying up my milk. (This is very painful, but better than consistently getting mastitis.)
4. Wesson now has three teeth
5. Kent is done with finals!!!!!
6. We finally got our first big snow storm. They canceled schools because of the freezing rain.
7. We went to David's Christmas concert.
8. I finished Christmas shopping.

Picture update
So I'm a little behind on the updates, but Wesson is now seven months old! He loves to eat, we have not found one food that he refuses to eat. In fact if you eat anything in front of him he starts fussing, because he wants to eat too. He has become a fan of crackers, in fact he will take a ritz, or a nilla wafer and stuff the whole thing in his month so you can't see if. A few time after choking on this he learned not to do that. He still has two teeth with he loves to bite things with. He loves playing with anything electrical even if it is broken. He will take a broken calculator over a rattle any day. He loves being the center of attention. If he tries talking to you, and you are not paying attention he will slowly start raising his voice until he is screaming at you of you turn and look at him, then he will smile at you and start talking quieter again. This is not the best game for him to play at church.:)
He loves to stand up next to things and play with his toys. He is slowly learning to play without falling over. He does not like to play on his stomach, he will just roll over. He loves to just kick and play on his back. So he is not even close to crawling. I think he will walk before he crawls.
This is what he wears to bed. Our house is really cold, we leave the temp at 60 degrees, so he gets bundled up tight to go to bed. This outfit has mittens and everything. My dear visiting teacher is letting us borrow these and they have been such a big help.
Wesson is starting to look older. He still has his adorable cheeks, which always get a ton of kisses. No one can resist them. His hair is starting to grow on top, not that you can see if, because it is so blond, but it is there. He loves to play games, and keeps Kent and I laughing. He has become quite the clown. He is our adorable blue eyed goober! We love you Wesson -Woo. ( this is just one of his nicknames. His three year old cousin even calls him that. It is so adorable.)

The Crazy Month of November
So as you can probably guess from the title November was a crazy month for the Thorne family. It started off good for the first week, but then I got sick with Mastitis. (a extremely painful breast infection). Now I have had mastitis twice before so I know what I am looking for. I went to the Doctor and she gave me a stronger prescription so I was no longer allowed to breastfeed Wesson. I had to switch him to a bottle and formula, and I had to pump. This happened a few days before we left to go out of town. Wesson made the stwich fine, but the formula upset his stomache. So the whole vacation he was fussy and up all night. We got home from Denver and He was still fussy ( we had not stwiched formula yet, because we didn't know if it was that or that we were on vacation and he was teething) So Thanksgiving rolled around and he is still not sleeping through the night and is extremly fussy. I am pumping but giving him what we call 'boob juice" (breastmilk) and suplimenting with formula, because my milk supply decreased. Thanksgiving day he was a mess. Kent and I hardly got to eat. He throw up all over me and then all over the floor. I was a horible day. That weekend I got mastitis again and went to the doctor and she was concered because I would pump 1 oz of pure blood on the side that was not infected. So I had to get blood work done and was sent to the hospital to have an ultrasound done. (this is not the funnest of experiences) The doctor could only rule out that I did not have cancer (which was a good, because we found out this month that my dad has cancer, but that is another story) or anything else really big. The think it's just a really bad case the is deeply rooted in my breast. So I was put on a stronger perscription had to dump out all of my milk that I had stored up and Wesson had to go back on formula. This time we tried soy and he is much happier. We still have a couple of more week of the pumping formula act, before we can try again, if my doctor thinks it will be ok. As soon as I am done with the perscription I have to go back in to see her. Also in the mix of all this Wesson and I end up with high fevers for two days. November was not the best of months, but I hope December will be alot better.

Family Vacation
This last week Kent, Wesson, and I got the opportunity to fly to Denver to visit with Kent's Aunt Linda and his Grandma. His sisters Melissa and Jen along with her two kids also came with us. Jen and I were worried about how the kids would do on the flight, but they did great! Wesson only knocked over my whole cup of apple juice all over me, and then poop. ( It's not that fun changing a pooping diaper on the plane. We were lucky and I had no one sitting next to me, so it made it easier.) But I rather that than a screaming child. We managed to make it through the Denver airport with all of out luggage and without losing a child. Though we did have close call with Carlee getting smashed in the elevator doors. While we were at Aunt Linda's we had fun sitting around visiting, playing cards, and cooking. The day time was fun, but the night time was a different story. For several nights Wesson would just wake up and scream for hours. Nothing would make him happy. It was awful. Not only was he screaming, but we shared the basement with both of my sister in laws, a one year old, and a three year old. Sunday Kent left to go back home and Melissa left on Monday leaving Jen and I with the three kids. Wesson did get better as the week went on, but he was still waking up screaming several times a night. All of the kids had melt downs before we left. Needless to say We were glad to get home. Wesson slept through the night as soon as he was in his bed, so I was happy about that. But it took me several days to make up all the sleep that I lost waking up 15 times a night.:( But Here are some pictures that were taken.

Doctors Appointment
Ok so we woke up this morning and I was carrying Wesson around the house and spits up all over me. I look, and it is all bloody. Gross, and scary. But I was glad he was scheduled for his 6 month appointment today. So I took the burp rag that I used to clean it up and put it in a ziploc bag and took it with me to the doctor's. I figured I would take it, just to be safe, so they could see what I was talking about. So I go to the doctor and I show it to them and they don't know what it is. They think it's from me. Told me he was fine, because he wasn't acting like he is in pain, and they checked everything else out and he was fine. Now it's a good thing that I totally love my doc and totally trust her, or else I would be upset. So I will just keep an eye on him and if he has any other problems I will take him back in. While we were at the doctors we did get Wesson's stats and his shots. They now have three of the shots all in one shot, so he only gets poked once instead of three times. He did have a flu shot, so he had two shots. But that's alot better than four. But here are his stats: Height: 26.5 inches (52.8 %) Weight: 18lb 10oz (70%) and Head: 43.3 cm (51%) Wesson is a big healthy boy!

Wow what a month!
Wesson is now 6 months old! Wow a half of a year! Time has flown by so fast! This month has been crazy. He was two teeth now! Rolls over both ways, and so close to sitting up! I think his big head keeps him off balance. ;) He eats cereal, applesauce, peas, bananas, and whatever else he can convince you to put in his mouth. If you are eating he thinks he has to eat to.When I'm cooking he think he has to sample everything. He loves his food. While he was teething he was waking up four times a night thinking he has to eat. Since he got his last tooth he has slept through the night twice. Yeah! He is such a funny little guy now. He loves to do this scream sound. He no longer wants his pacifier. If you give it to him he yells at you. He will play with it and chew on the edge, but won't suck on it properly. How I miss those days of using a pacifier to quiet him, or put him to sleep. This month has been crazy. He has his doctor's appointment on Thursday, so I get to see how big he is then. I know he weighs more than his year old cousin. What can I say? He is a big boy!

Swing! Swing! Swing!
These pictures were taken about three weeks ago, but I never got around to posting them. Notice the shorts and short sleeves. Yeah, none of that now. It's too cold. Well some of these pictures or off my camera, and some are off my friend Christen's camera (those are the cool black and white ones) The two of us took our kids to the park to walk around and to try out the swings. Wesson is still too small to go very high by himself, but when we stick both kids in together, it works great! Wesson and Chloe had a great time! These pictures were just too cute not to post.

Finally!!
I have been waiting forever for Wesson to roll over the other way. From his back to his belly. He rolled over the other way the first of Aug. I guess it just took him a while to figure it out. The funny thing is, Wesson rolled over because he wanted to eat my shoe and I kept moving it out of his reach. He won't roll over for a toy, but for a shoe....strange kid.

Fall
After church yesterday we went to the park right by our house. (this is the one I run at) at took pictures of the trees. They are changing color and are so pretty. This is not something you see in Arizona. I love fall the weather is perfect for long sleeves and the trees change color, and of course it's Husker season. (I put that in for Kent)

It's too soon!
So the last couple of weeks Wesson has been really fussy, and everyone told me he might be teething. So we kept feeling his gums and watching to see if they got red and swollen. They got a little swollen but not much so we thought that the teeth were just moving around. Then as of Friday he stopped being fussy and was his happy self again. Back to sleeping regular and everything. Well, I was at young woman's last night and was feeding him when I realized that he has a tooth sticking up! It's too small to get a picture, but i will post some when you can see it. Then during the night he woke up at 3am and was just screaming. We tried everything to calm him down. We gave him Tylenol and just waited for it to take affect. Then this morning he has a tooth sticking out the top! Man! this is not good. I do not look forward to feeding him now. He is only five months! There should be a rule about breastfeeding babies not getting teeth until they are 10 months. I have a feeling he is going to be a biter! Ouch! Not good!

Five Months
Wesson is now five months old. He has so much personality now. He loves to gabber and talk. He loves making the da da da sound and hanging upside down. Wesson loves to stand and eat his hands. He still only rolls over one way, but we are working on that. Wesson loves to play with daddy. He can be grummpy for me, but as soon as dad comes home he is laughing and playing again.
