Hiking Memorial Weekend

Here are the pictures I promised you from the hike. Memorial Day I went hiking with my family at North Platte. Kent ,of course, had to work. We did about five miles and I carried Wesson in a backpack most of the the time.
Here we are on top of the observation deck before our hike. I climbed all the way to the top without falling behind the group. Man, my legs were on fire when we got to the top.
We are at the trail head waiting to get going. The thing I love about hiking in Nebraska is that everything is so green and you are always in the shade. Unlike Arizona where there is no shade.
Wesson loves apples, but he wants to hold the entire apple by himself. Aunt Alisa and Wesson are sharing lunch.
Wesson did fall asleep during part of the hike for about 45 mins. He still wasn't feeling good. This was his first day of the spots.
